Newer sensitive and energy efficient electronics like those with Active PFC or an Energy Star 5.0 or higher rating sometimes lose power anyway if connected to line interactive systems with higher than an 8 millisecond delay.

You won’t find out though until the UPS is tested with the device or the first power event occurs as power is passed through on line interactive units. Yes, however, the LCD panel will be easier to use when the UPS is in its standard orientation. If you choose to position the UPS unit in a non-standard position, make sure the fan on the back and at least one of the side vents are left unobstructed so the UPS has plenty of airflow.

Can the Medical UPS be managed remotely? | UPS

No. A direct USB or serial connection is required to manage this UPS unit with PowerPanel Business software.

Can this Medical UPS be used with non-medical equipment? | UPS

Yes. Desktops, laptops, USB hubs/chargers, phones and other equipment can be connected to this UPS as well. It will provide electricity to them during a power outage just as it would with connected medical equipment.

Can this Medical UPS be used with life-support equipment? | UPS

No. Our medical-grade UPS units are designed and certified to meet UL 60601-1 requirements for use within patient care vicinities for non-critical care equipment. They have not been designed or certified for use with life support or other critical care equipment and should not be used for that purpose.

What are the red reset buttons on the back of my UPS for? | UPS

Those are circuit breakers. If one of the circuits were to be tripped, that button would be sticking out significantly farther than normal and would need to be pushed back in to reset the circuit.
